The Glowlight is one of the old favorites of the hobby, and deservedly so. A shoal of these tiny fish kept under appropriate conditions makes a truly impressive sight. There is some doubt regarding the assignation of this species to the genus Hemigrammus, and studies may eventually result in its being assigned to the genus Cheirodon.
